SCR names a process called "Selective Cathalytic Reaction". In this process, the nitrogen oxides produced during combustion are post-oxidized by adding a reducing agent like DEF / UREA / Adblue® in a special catalytic converter. The exhaust gas emitted is therefore practically free of pollutants.
The SCR dosing systems and dosing modules for UREA / DEF / Adblue® from SCHERZINGER are tailor-made and adapt individually to your particular SCR system configuration. This means that they are not only suitable for newly designed systems, but are also ideal for retrofitting for existing SCR marine diesel engines.
Of course. We have decades of experience in pump construction and are available to our customers and partners with help and advice. Our particular strength is that the pumps and applications we develop are perfectly matched to your system or application. This means: You have the requirement - we have the solution. If you are faced with the challenge of selecting the perfect SCR system for your exhaust system, we are the right partner for you. Our SCR pumping module deliver UREA / DEF / Adblue® safely and reliably and help you to reduce emissions with your exhaust system in all marine systems.
Scherzinger masters the requirements of both possible types of DEF / UREA / AdBlue® injection: low-pressure systems at approx. 4 bar, which swirl the DEF / UREA / Adblue® with the aid of additional compressed air. Also applicable for systems with a higher operating pressure, which atomize the DEF / UREA / Adblue® solely via the liquid pressure at approx. 7-10 bar and inject it into the exhaust gas flow via pulsed injectors. This gives you the ideal DEF / UREA / Adblue® injection for your maritime deNOx system at all times.
For UREA / DEF / Adblue® injectors that work with compressed air for atomization, air volume control is an additional function that can be integrated into the pump system and is available in different expansion stages. The SCR-dosing system control offers freely programmable switching outputs that can switch air control or air control valves. In addition, air valves can be attached directly to the SCR-dosing system in order to set the optimum atomization. In a further expansion stage, SCHERZINGER can also integrate extended functions for cleaning and blowing out the UREA / DEF / Adblue® line in order to protect the pipe near the injector from freezing during downtime. This also ensures that the AdBlue® cannot crystallize in the pipes during downtime. This gives you a perfectly tuned deNOx system at all times for your ship engine, which also enables DEF / UREA / Adblue® injection via compressed air.
SCHERZINGER offers so-called booster pump modules for installation close to the main tank, especially for installation situations where large height differences > 9,8 ft have to be overcome from the main UREA / DEF / Adblue® tank to the SCR dosing system of the ship. These pump modules can be installed as pressure booster modules with an integrated pressure regulator between the main tank and the dosing module.
Optionally, the booster pump module may be installed close to the main tank in order to draw the UREA / DEF / Adblue® from the main tank and pump it over in a day tank close to the dosing module.
SCHERZINGER SCR pumping and conveying systems and their subcomponents bear a CE mark. The SCR pump modules comply with the IMO MARPOL regulations.
For SCR pump systems under 264 GPH (US), no approval by a class society is required. For larger dosing and delivery volumes, the SCR pumps can be approved by the class societies DNV GL and Lloyds Register.
The SCR dosing systems for diesel engines in ships are available in different sizes, based on two gear pump sizes. This means that UREA / DEF / AdBlue® requirements of 0.13 to 1.350 GPH (US) can be reliably met in order to supply engines with a maximum output of a few hundred kilowatt hours up to 100,000 kW. This is achieved by combining different pump sizes, either individually or in parallel. This means you can easily configure an Adblue® dosing module or DEF dosing unit that is perfectly matched to your exhaust system.
The SCR pumping module can build up a pressure of up to 10 bar in continuous operation with UREA / DEF / AdBlue® and can therefore overcome delivery heights of up to 82 ft, for example, and ensure an injection pressure of 7 bar at the UREA / DEF / Adblue® injector. Your deNOx system is therefore also able to overcome individual delivery heights without any problems and guarantee an Adblue® injection without any problems.
Motors with 24V direct current and any three-phase motors for all required three-phase voltages, e.g. 230/400V, 50Hz, can be used for your SCR System. If required, a voltage converter to 24V can also be integrated into the control cabinet of the SCR dosing module.
Depending on the application, up to six SCR pumps can be installed on one SCR pump module and controlled using the hardware and software developed by SCHERZINGER. The controller in the Adblue® dosing module works with the Phyton programming language, which was specially developed for machine learning, for fast and precise control.
